Mikalai Autukhovich: Custodian pattern to be mitigated in half a year

The political prisoner, who is kept in the “closed” Hrodna prison now, has written about that to his friend.

As noted by his friends, Mikalai is a he-man, he is not used to stress out his family by his problems, so he starts his letter traditionally.

Radio Svaboda quotes the text of his letter:

“Everything is fine with me. It is much easier here psychologically (as compared to the colony). I have lots of free time; however I have so many plans that I cannot manage to do everything I want. I do not have time for boredom. In half a year, if there would be no violations, custodial control would be changed for me from maximum security to minimum security (the number of visits and parcels would be increased). I plan to buy a DVD player and start studying English seriously. However, I would be allowed to buy a DVD player not earlier that the custodial control changed for me, that I why I am going to start studies with books. I have no problems with German. I can communicate, I just need a little practice. It has always been like this: after 2-3 weeks in a country, or even earlier, I could not even notice how words started to “pop” from me.

I cannot read all periodicals, only some newspapers which do not publish everything.
