Andrei Sannikov suddenly called to police

He must visit the penal office at 11 am on April 17.

Andrei Sannikov, the recently released 2010 presidential candidate, received a summons from police 30 minutes after publication of the information about a press conference scheduled for April 17.

He is to visit the penal office of the Pershamaiski district of Minsk “for registration”. The summons is signed by the penal office chief.

The time of the visit “coincidentally”falls on the beginning of the press conference. It's unclear if the politician will be able to appear at the event, which will be held at 4 Kulman Str (Trade Union of Radioelectronics Workers) at 12 pm, on time.

Such “care” demonstrated by the security services proves Andrei Sannikov and his family are still hostages.
