Detentions of opposition activists in Minsk and regions

The authorities try to impede holding a rally on an anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.

Police officers from the Kastrychnitki district police department of Minsk detained Ihar Simbirou, an activist of Tell the Truth campaign, today at 2:30 pm, the press service of the campaign reports.

The activist told it his friend on the phone before connection with him was lost.

Activists of Tell the Truth campaign were detained by  police in Brest.

Marat Nestyarenka and Alyaksandr Akhmach were detained by police as they were returning from a public action dedicated to the events on the Chernobyl nuclear plant on April 26, 1986.
