A minibus with tinted windows and without a license plate parked in front of the activists who were standing on a public transport stop.

BelaPAN news agency has learned it from the activists.

Plainclothes men jumped out of the minibus and dragged several activists inside.

Eight detained activists of the youth wing of Yabloko party spent about an hour in  the Tsentralny district police department and were then released, press secretary of the Russian Embassy in Belarus Vladimir Marchukov says.

“According to the official information given to our consul, eight Russian citizens were taken to the Tsentralny district police department for an identity check. They spent about 40-45 minutes at a police department. After the release, the young people went to the railway station,” the representative of the Russian diplomatic mission said.

The activists took part in the Chernobyl Way 2012 rally and got detained on a public transport stop.
