Paris supports Ales Byalyatski (Photo)

Representatives of mayor's office and French MFA took part in a picket of solidarity with Belarusian political prisoners.

A large number of people gathered in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, Radio Svaboda reports. Among them were representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France,. The Mayor of the  11th arrondissement of Paris, President of the International Federation for Human Rights Souhayr Belhassen and a representative of the Paris mayor's office for international affairs were among the speakers.

Picketers were holding posters with calls to release Ales Byalyatski in three languages, chanting slogans for his release and listening to speakers.

Human rights envoys from European states, members of the International Federation for Human Rights from different countries of Africa, Latin America and Eastern Europe attended the picket.
