Young Front activists thrown into jail again

Uladzimir Yaromenak, a former political prisoner and Young Front member, has been detained for 7 days again.

The Frunzenski district court of Minsk tries Young Front activists Uladzimir Yaromenak and Pavel Syarhei, who were detained yesterday.

Judge of the Frunzenski district court  Lyudmila Lappo sentenced Uladzimir Yaromenak to 7 days in custody. The man was accused of swearing near his house, Radio Svaboda reports.

Pavel Syarhei is being tried now.

We remind the Young Front members were detained yesterday in a flat and taken to the Frunzenski district police department, where police reports were drawn up against them (article 17.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences, disorderly conduct), and then sent to a detention centre in Akrestin Street. Reasons for the detention were not given to them.
