Mikalai Statkevich may be thrown into punishment cell again

Information about the increased pressure on political prisoner Mikalai Statkevich has been confirmed.

The former presidential candidate sent a letter from a prison in Mahilou, statkevich.org website reports.

“I had a reprimand on a far-fetched ground today. As I understand from my Shklou experience, it's not the end,” the political prisoner writes.

The politician thinks “the real reason for the incident is to make me apply for a pardon”. He confirmed he would not do it.

Mikalai Statkevich writes he sent “a request to the Mahilou region prosecutor's office over the reprimand and reminded about the real reason for the reprimand”. He asks not worry and jokes, “I have already been  in the local punishment cell, so I'll see nothing new there.”
