Vaskovich receives empty envelopes instead of letters

Political prisoner Yauheny Vaskovich receives letters only from his relatives.

Yauheny's friends say he does not receive letters from them – at best, he gets only envelopes with the name and address of a sender, the Young Front press service reports.

Yauheny Vaskovich wrote to Young Front activist Maria Kvitinskaya on May 12: “I didn't read you latest letter. I received only an envelope. Anyway, I will write to you. Unfortunately, I receive letters  only from family. I write to many people, but I don't know if my letters are delivered.”

Maria notes she receives messages from Yauheny rarely – once in six months. As it can be concluded from his answers, he does not see many letters – he would answer if he received even empty envelopes.

Yauheny's letters are very short and neutral. It seems he tries to write so that his letters could pass censorship. Vaskovich writes he is in a good mood and has no health problems.

Young Front members regard the information blockade in relation to Yauheny Vaskovich as tortures.
