Austrian embassy in Moscow confirms issuing visa to Yarmoshyna

According to him, he has no information whether CEC secretary Mikalai Lazavik applied for and received a visa.

The embassy staff refused to give information yesterday concerning who issued a visa to head of the Central Election Commission Lidzia Yarmoshyna, who is on the EU blacklist.

Yarmoshyna is taking part in the OSCE meeting on democratic elections and election observation in Vienna. Opposition politician Viktar Karnyaenka, who was officially invited to the event and planned to flew to Vienna on July 12, failed to appear at the meeting, because Belarusian border guards at the Minsk national airport did not allow him to leave the country.
