Investigation into case of Belarus's main Jew prolonged

Investigation into a criminal case against the chair of the Judaic Religious Association of Belarus, Yury Dorn, was extended to September 13.

BelaPAN news agency has learned it from the Investigation Committee.

A criminal case under part 3 of article 430 of the Criminal Code (accepting a bribe on a grand scale) was opened against Dorn by the Investigation Committee of Belarus in march 2012.

Dorn was reported to have been detained for accepting a money reward from a director of a business entity. It was figured out that Dorn, being an official responsible for organizational, management and administrative functions of the association, received a money reward at a sum of more than 13,000 dollars for a favourable settlement of the issue on making a contract on lease of non-residential premises owned by the religious association.
