Shushkevich: We have no volunteers to take part in this farce

The Belarusian Social Democratic Hramada will not nominate its candidates for the “parliamentary election”.

“We have not held an official meeting yet to declare our position. But we have no people who would like to take part in the election. Everyone stands for boycotting. In this regard, I see no sense in proposing our candidates for constituency election commissions,” Stanislau Shushkevich, the party leader and first head of independent Belarus, told Radio Svaboda.

The United Civil Party and the Belaruian Popular Front are going to nominate their candidates, but later withdraw them if demands to release all political prisoners and including their members into election commissions are not fulfilled. The Fair  World Party intends to run in the election to the end.
