Lithuanian ambassador leaves Belarus

Edminas Bagdonas put on a Belarusian national shirt for a farewell dinner on July 4.

Bagdonas said he wore that shirt to show his respect for the Belarusians, whom he began to love and esteem during 5.5 years of his work in the country. Edminas Bagdonas said he regretted he had to leave the country, to which he gave much of his heart, but such is life of a diplomat, Radio Svaboda reports.

The accredited in Belarus diplomats have recently said goodbye to three their colleagues. Heads of diplomatic missions of Germany, Hungary and the UK left the country after their terms of office in Belarus expired. There's unofficial information that two more diplomats, heads of missions of the USA and Russia, may leave Minsk in the nearest time.
