Human rights activist went to a meeting and disappeared

Alena  Krasouskaya-Kaspyarovich, a deputy director of Platform organization, stopped answering her mobile phone on the evening of July 31.

No one has seen her since she went to a meeting, Platform director Andrei Bandarenka told Belorusski Partizan.

Platform members talked to her at 3:30 p.m. She then stopped answering her phone. Her whereabouts are unknown. Her phones were unavailable on the morning of August 1. Platform members are doing their best to find the activist.

“No one knows anything. She went to a meeting yesterday. No one has seen her after she went. She was to receive materials over the court decision. We have a project 'Unfair judgement' and she went to take the documents,” Bandarenka noted.

Alena Krasouskaya-Kaspyarovich did not return home.

Pressure on Platform members has increased recently. The website of the organization was attacked yesterday evening. Disappearance ofthe Platform deputy director may have relation to the pressure on the organization.
