European Belarus activists detained in Minsk (Photo)

Mikita Kavalenka and Alyaksei Tyoply were detained for handing out information bulletins “Charter'97”.

Activists of European Belarus civil campaign were handing out newspapers near the central railway station in Minsk. Police officers came to them at 8:00 p.m., took out the newspapers and detained the young men. As charter97.org learned from friends of the detained activists, Mikita Kavalenka and Alyaksei Tyoply were taken to a police station at the railway station.

The activists of European Belarus civil campaign were let out. No police reports were made. Policemen didn't return newspapers to the activists.
