List of Yarmoshyna's soldiers

A list of ordinary “election” falsifiers in Belarus has been made.

On August 14, deputy head of Tell the Truth civil campaign Alyaksandr Fyaduta said at a press conference in Minsk that campaign activists analyzed personal composition of election commissions of all levels in the last five election campaigns from the 2006 presidential elections to the forthcoming “parliamentary” elections this year.

According to him, activists spent much time trying to invent the name of the project and finally chose “Soldiers of Lidzia Yarmoshyna”. “The name was inspired by her words that members of the Central Election Commissions are soldiers of Fatherland. But she is not a soldier. She is a general who sends soldiers, election commission members, to the front,” the politician said.

The database contains data about 123,333 persons who were members of election commissions. “This information is absolutely open. In compliance with the law, it was published in newspapers,” Fyaduta said.

He said the data analysis revealed a number of people, who were members of election commissions during three or five election campaigns, BelaPAN reports.

From the latest five election campaigns, 11.6% of the total number of commission members took part in three election campaigns, 4.7%  - in four campaigns and 1.01% - in five campaigns.

According to Fyaduta, the analysis allows to track the careers of some commission members: they started  working in district commissions and then in constituency commissions or began with local elections and end with parliamentary and presidential elections.  He also noted they received higher positions at work.

One of peculiarities of Yarmoshyna's soldiers is that most of them were nominated to commissions by four organizations: BRSM, Belaya Rus, trade unions and education institutions. Moreover, they were nominated by different organizations and parties at different elections.
