Participant of the marathon in support of Bialiatski was summoned to the police

The order to conduct a check on the fact of the marathon, according to police, came "from above".

Marathon runner Uladzimir Maley, Brest human rights activist told to Euroradio about his trip to police station.

"They gave an explanation that - yes, do run, promote healthy lifestyle. I run in a t-shirt that I like. That day I was in the T-shirt with a photograph of Ales Bialiatski and the inscription "Freedom to Ales Bialiatski!"

Lenin District police department didn’t deny that the order about the check came “from above” - from the regional police. The reason for this were publications of human rights activist about his rally on the internet.

According to Maley, the police does not have any claims against. Actions of the human rights activist do not fall under the "conduct of unauthorized mass event", and administrative proceedings are completed.

Recall, on August 4, Uladzimir Maley, in support of Ales Bialiatski, ran through the streets of Brest city in a T-shirt with his image. The action lasted about an hour. Law enforcement officials did not interfere.
