Chief Executive Officer of Klaipeda Seaport: Lukashenka involve us into a conflict artificially

In Lithuania continued to comment on the statements of the Belarusian governor about the country's involvement in the «teddy troopers».

Chief Executive Officer of Klaipeda State Seaport Authority Eugenijus Gentvilas believe that Lukashenko's threat to «punish» Lithuania for «teddy troopers» will not affect to the transportation of Belarusian cargo via Klaipeda. He stated this at the press-conference, reports The Baltic Times.

«I think that Lukashenka wants to involve Lithuania into a conflict artificially. I do not think that this incident could become a pretext to divert cargo elsewhere. It would not be beneficial to Belarus itself. I do not think anything should happen because of some teddy bears», - said he.

As for the incident with the Swedish plane in Belarus, Lukashenka said: «This is another topic. It demands Sweden and Lithuania to give answers in accordance with the international standards. We are settling this issue now. If there are no answers in  compliance with international norms, we will find an appropriate response to the teddy bear incident».

«What concerns Lithuania, don't be as quiet as a mouse. They [Lithuania] must answer why they gave their territory to violate the state border. Lithuania won't find it funny», Lukashenka stressed.
