BelTA journalist threw herself out of 8th floor with kids (Photo)

Dwellers of block of flats No. 76 in Panchanka Street in Minsk were shocked by an awful  tragedy today.

A woman with two little children threw herself out of the window of her flat on the eighth floor.

“The family was considered to be good. The woman was on maternity leave. She was a BelTA journalist. Investigators are working at the scene now. There's preliminary information that the tragedy might have been caused by postnatal depression,” head of the Frunzenski district police department Aleh Haidukevich comments on the situation for Komsomoslkaya Pravda newspaper.

The children were two and seven years old. Their mother was in conflict with her ex-husband, who wanted the children to live with him. A criminal case will be initiated in the nearest time.

Journalist's account  on a social networking site has plenty of audio recording of Skype seminars devoted to phobias and neuroses treatment. Milena last visited her account on VKontakte, a Russian social network, at 3:36 a.m. today.

A team of investigators from Minsk's Frunzenski district police department is working at the scene. Policemen declined to give comments noting only the case will be investigated by the Frunzenski district department of the Investigation Committee.  The policemen forbade taking photos of the scene of the accident.

A team of criminal experts is working in the yard of the block of flats. Specialists could enter the flat only with the help of the emergency response team. The flat was locked from the inside and the rescuers had to climb up the airial ladder to get inside the flat and open the door to police.

The dead bodies were found on the ground in the yard. An emergency ambulance arrived, but doctors had only to pronounce the woman and two her kids dead.

Policemen are questioning all neighbours. The TUT,BY correspondent hasn't learned other details about the woman and her children.
