Ažubalis: Belarus cannot be excluded from the "Eastern Partnership" program

Lithuanian Foreign Minister met with the Foreign Ministers of Baltic States and Germany in Riga.

Ažubalis and his colleagues have discussed the most important issues of economic cooperation of the EU with its eastern neighbors, reports newspaper The Baltic Course.

He also invited the Foreign Ministers of Baltic States and Germany to the third summit of "Eastern Partnership", which will be held in Vilnius in the autumn of 2013. Ažubalis stressed that, despite the fact that Belarus has chosen the path of self-isolation, it cannot be excluded from the program.

"Suspension of Belarus' participation in "Eastern Partnership" will leave Belarusian people without European perspective", - stressed out the head of Lithuanian Foreign Ministry.

Foreign ministers issued a joint statement in which they condemned the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, the anniversary of the conclusion of which was yesterday.
