Oligarch Shakutin find a job for former assistant of Lukashenko

Former presidential economic advisor Syarhei Tkachou is now the First Deputy Director of "Amkodor" holding.

"Amkodor" holding consists of three unincorporated departments, eleven subsidiaries and two unitary enterprises. Amkodor product line features more than 80 models and configurations of the machinery.

Syarhei Tkachou was relieved of his duties as presidential advisor by the Alyaxandar Lukashenka. Ex-head of the National Bank Piotr Prokopovich was appointed as new presidential economic advisor.

Syarhei Tkachou is known for his commitment to the traditional methods of the country’s economy management. In November last year as a presidential advisor Sergei Tkachev criticized prognosis of Belarus social and economic development for 2012. He was also against government’s decision to stop greenback emission.

Independent experts think that Syarhei Tkachou’s dismissal from the position as the presidential advisor will be a huge relief for the supporters of market reforms. Former head of the National Bank of Belarus Stanislau Bahdankevich stated that “after Tkachou’s dismissal nobody will throw sand in the wheels of market initiatives of the government.”
