Dziana Kastyukovich, a UCP candidate in Brest-Uskhodni constituency No. 3, was forbidden to say the words “Lukashenka”, “boycott” and “picket” during recording her speech on a local TV channel.
“I read the text I prepared. A TV crew member appeared and said it would not be aired because I used banned words, such as 'Lukashenka', 'boycott', 'picket'. We began to edit the text. A lawyer then came and offered me not to mention some things in my speech,” the activist told Radio Svaboda.
Kastyukovich says the edited statement was not what she wanted to tell voters.
