This weekend BBC World will tell a story about Belarus

On Saturday and Sunday a report devoted to our country will be released on the channel BBC World.

Journalist John Sweeney in this report will return to the topic of last year's explosion in Minsk metro and tell about the situation in the country, political prisoners, tortures, applied to the oppositioners in the KGB prison, and persecution of opponents of the regime. Particular attention is paid to the participation of Interpol in the case of Konovalov and Kovalev and strange, according to the authors of the film, trustfulness of the head of the international organization, which has already caused a mixed assessment of both Belarusian and foreign journalists.

Report will be released on the BBC World on August 4 at 00.30 and 12.30, on August 5 - at 06.30 and 13.30, Minsk time.

Note that this is an abbreviated version of the film, which will be fully shown at the end of August. It is attended by Liubov Kovaleva, mother of the executed Vladislav Kovalev, former political prisoners Natallia Radzina and Vlad Kobets, other Belarusians.
