On August 3, it became known that the Swedish ambassador was expelled from Minsk. This Swedish Foreign Minister also mentioned on his twitter.

Materials against Stefan Eriksson appeared in state media shortly before the event. On Tuesday the newspaper of Lukashenka's administration, "Sovetskaya Belorussia", accused the ambassador of "excessive activity", and Sweden - of "imperialistic ambitions".
