Actions of solidarity with Belarusian political prisoners were held in the capitals of Germany and Lithuania.
In Vilnius Belarusians and Lithuanians came to the city center with portraits of Ales Bialiatski and posters, calling to release the arrested head of the HRC "Viasna".
Residents of Berlin held a rally of solidarity with the human rights activist at the Brandenburg Gate.
Yesterday, rallies in support of political prisoners were held in many countries around the world. They were timed to the anniversary of the arrest of Ales Bialiatski, who was thrown into prison, August 4, 2011.
