The investigation of fashion designer Sasha Varlamau's case has been prolonged till November 19.

"The term for investigation of Varlamau's case has been prolonged till November 19. The term of detention will be the same as the term of investigation until the restraint is changed," - said representative of the Committee: .

As the restraint for Varlamau has not been changed, he stays in custody. Let us remind you, the fashion designer was detained on May 20 last year. He has spent a year and two months in prison by now. 

The last time the term of detention was prolonged till August 20. The longest term of detention before the court trial is 18 months upon permit of a General Prosecutor or his deputy. Such restraint is used for the people accused of severe or extremely severe crimes.

Varlamau is accused of "swindle in especially big scope, which is considered a severe crime.
