Ales Byalyatski marks his 50th birthday on September 25.
Human rights activists from Homel propose to send birthday postcards to the political prisoners and spread information about a criminal case against him, the website Homelskaya Vesna reports.
“We call on all concerned people not to leave Ales Byalyatski alone behind bars. He is a person who had been defending the rights of others for 15 years and he deserves warms words of support in this difficult time,” they say.
