Minsk students forced to vote early

Minsk students are encouraged to vote early in the “elections”.

A student of Belarusian State Agrarian and Technical University (BSATU) told the website charter97.org all students of the university were required to vote early. All of them were warned against joining the boycott campaign.

“The student supervisor raised the theme of the election to the house of representatives at a meeting. Our supervisor proposed to vote early on a voluntary-compulsory basis and go home on September 23. We were warned against boycotting the election. They collected our signatures to pass them to the dean's office or to higher offices,” the young man noted.

“I live in the BSATU residence hall. We were urged there to vote early. A propaganda campaign to take part in the election runs full blast,” the student stressed.
