Factory employees to work three days a week

500 workers of “Kovry Bresta” carpet factory in Brest can be left without means of living.

The factory has not been working stably for the fifth month.

A worker says the personnel who had no work in summer as well as engineers and technical staff who had a five-day work week and received salaries in full amount will work three days per week. The reason for this step is that the factory didn't receive the expected loan.

It wasn't the fault of factory employees that they were paid only two thirds of the wage rate for the idle time. Workers of “Kovry Bresta” factory say they received 350,000 rubles  in August. Factory is going to pay personnel only for three-day work week, Euroradio reports.

We remind electricity supplies to “Kovry Bresta” factory were cut off in spring for failure to pay the debt. The factory has about 500 employees.
