Political prisoner Alinevich is being under an informational blackout

Ihar Alinevich has not been allowed to call home for two months, he hasn’t received the friends’ letter since spring.

And his parent don’t receive his letters either. The Alinevich’s lawyer found this out as she met her client in the Navapolatsk penal colony, Valiantsina, Ihar’s mother, says:

“Yesterday he met the lawyer on request in order to compose an appeal to the department of corrections of the prosecutor’s office. One – on him being accused without substantial grounds of severe violations of the regime of the penitentiary treatment , the other one – on the bad detention conditions in the colony”.

Also Valiantsina told that Ihar, who has spent 2 years under arrest already, received an invitation to the upcoming elections, the Radio Free Europe reports.
