European Belarus campaign calls not to go to polling stations

European Belarus civil campaign joined the appeal of opposition leaders.

“We have been standing for an active boycott of the 'parliamentary election' since the beginning of the election campaign. Our activists have been distributing tens of thousands of newspapers and leaflets calling not to participate in the electoral farce.

A boycott of the election is the first step on the way to the national-wide boycott of the dictatorship. We join the appeal of six opposition organizations urging not to vote,” a coordinator of European Belarus civil campaign, Zmitser Barodka, told charter97.org.

The United Civil Party, the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party, the Electronic Industry Trade Union, Belarusian Movement, Young Front and the Association of Belarusian Intellectuals released an appeal today calling not to participate in the electoral farce.
