Ales Makaeu imprisoned for 6 days

(updated) The chairman of the “Razam” solidarity movement Ales Makaeu was tried in the Minsk’s Central district court.

He was accused of insubordination to the police (article 23.4 of the Administrative Code). The administrative case was tried by the judge Aliaksandr Yakunchikhin, the human rights center “Viasna” reports.

We would remind that on 23 September the police detained Aliaksandr Makeu. In the morning he was going to Kristina Shatikova’s funeral in his own car, which had a white-red-white flag. He was stopped by police and the car was searched. In the cabin they found leaflets calling for boycotting the elections.
