Observers forced to leave voting stations

Independent observers are told to leave voting stations when the votes are being counted.

Information about breaches committed by electoral commissions comes from the entire country. Below follow several examples of the breaches.

At the 449th voting station in the 104th Kalvaryiski electoral district of Minsk, 5 independent observers, including two observers from the project Election Observation: Theory and Practice, were told to leave the voting station one hour before the end of the voting.

At the 396th voting station of the 102nd Zakhodni district, observer Viktar Bury was told to leave after he had tried to submit a complain on the district electoral commission.

Observer from the Belarusian Christian Democracy Inna Loika had to leave the 122nd station of the 94th electoral district right before the beginning of the vote count.

At the 136th station of the 94th district the commission members and loyal observers made independent observer Vadzim Maieuski leave the station.

Siargei Bakhun had to stop working at the 373rd station number of the 101st Minsk electoral district.

Mikalai Rasiuk, the independent observer of the 45th voting station of the Magiliou-Tsantralny district, also had to leave the station.

The website charter97.org has already reported that Aleg Ladutska was forced to leave the 94th electoral district on made-up reasons right before the votes were counted, while observers of the 101th district Aryna Lisietskaia and Siargei Martselieu were kidnapped and kept in a police station for 7 hours.
