The Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Belarus was fired

President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev signed a decree of releasing Eric Asanalieva from his position of ambassador.

“interfax” reports that reasons for the release of the Ambassador were not specified.

In late August, Eric Asanaliev was withdrawn from Belarus for consultations due to the lack of reaction of the Belarusian side to the verbal note of Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry regarding the occupation on the territory of our country the younger brother of ex-President of the Republic Zhanybek (Zhanysh) Bakiyev, accused at home of a number of very serious crimes and declared internationally wanted.

Last week, Kyrgyzstan addressed the CIS Executive Committee with a request to provide assistance in the extradition of Bakiyev from Belarus.

Deputy Foreign Minister Askar Beshimov explained earlier, that the appeal to the Executive Committee of the CIS, as to the depositary of international agreements, is directed to provide assistance in the completion of commitments, undertaken by Belarus in the framework of Minsk Convention on Legal Assistance.

Recall, the former ruler of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev and his brother Zhanybek Bakiyev are declared internationally wanted on the CIS territory and internationally wanted through Interpol. They are charged with complicity in mass murder. The Kyrgyz ex-ruler is hiding with his family in Belarus since April 2010. Back in August 2010, Kurmanbek Bakiyev received a passport of Belarus citizen, and this year he bought a house for $ 2 million on the outskirts of Minsk.
