Concerts of rapper Assai banned in Belarus (Video)

A Russian hip-hop singer sent Lukashenka to hell at a concert in Minsk.

Representatives of the band write on the official website their concerts in Belarus were banned after last year's gig in Minsk. On November 28, Assai performed the song “Stolko Zhizni” (So much life) and addressed Lukashenka in the song.

“We inform all our fans from Minsk and other Belarusian cities that our concerts were banned by the authorities. We know it is a reaction to the song 'Stolko Zhizni” we played at the gig on November 28. 2011. Be free,” a statement on the official website reads.

As charter97.org reported, Russian hip-hop singer Assai (Aleksei Kosov) also played a concert in Minsk on May 12. The singer turned the microphone towards the audience as he sang “Mister president, go to hell”. Fans welcomed it by shouts “Lukashenka, go to hell”. The singer then replaced the words “Mister president” with “Lukashenka” that caused a storm of applause.
