Jailers go to jail (Photo)

Demands to release Zmitser Dashkevich appear in Minsk.

His friends hung out a banner on a bridge in Minsk centre demanding to free the political prisoner on the day when the Young Front leader was to be sent from Hlybokae to a detention facility in Vitebsk, mfront.net informs.

The banner “Jailers go to jail! Freedom for Dashkevich!” appeared at the bridge near the central railway station. In this way Young Front members showed their attitude toward another illegal sentence to their leader.

Zmitser Dashkevich has been in prison since December 18, 2010, on trumped-up accusations of “hooliganism”. In real case he was sentenced for his political activity and defending the ideas of free society and independent Belarus.

The political prisoner received a new sentence on August 28 for alleged failure to obey the prison administration. His prison term was extended by  one year.
