Investigation Committee ready to “identify” people involved in KGB blast

The investigation can identify the person involved in the blast near the KGB building in Vitebsk.
This statement was made at a press conference today by head of the Vitesbk region department of the Investigation Committee Uladzimir Shalukhin, BelTA news agency reports.
A homemade bomb exploded near the KGB building in Vitebsk at 6:48 on November 11, 2012. Two windows of the building were damaged as the result of the blast. A criminal case over article 339 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism) was initiated.
The investigation was carried out by the Vitesbk region department of the Investigation Committee. A working group of the most experienced investigators questioned more than 400 people, carried out more than 300 expert examinations (most of them relating to explosives and information technologies). “A number of evidence were obtained that allow us to identify a person, who committed the crime, and prove his guilt,” Uladzimir Shalukhin said.
According to him, a resident of Vitebsk, who had threatened to the KGB department on the phone several times, was detained. No measures of restraint were applied to him and no charges were brought against him. Investigators don't have proofs that he has relation to the crime.
