The main ideologist of the Financial Investigations Department of the State Control Committee Genadz Prokhartsau was fired.
They confirmed the information at the press-service of the State Control Committee. The official reason for the dismissal – “according to the parties’ agreement”.
According to the unofficial information, the reason for the dismissal allegedly was a search in Prokhartsau’s apartment at which KGB officials found a USA Green Card.
As an informed source told TUT.BY, the special services first noted his frequent visits to the US embassy in Minsk, which was the reason for the search. Many people knew Prokhartsau exactly as an opponent to the USand the West, that is why they were unpleasantly surprised at the Control Committee having found a Green Card with him”, - the interlocutor adds.
It is not known where Prokhartsau is now. At the Committee for State Security (KGB) they did not comment on this information.
Genadz Prokhartsau was in the position of the head of the department of the ideological and personnel work at the Financial Investigations Department. Very recently, on 2 October, he received a first rank medal “For perfect service” from Aliaksandr Lukashenka.
