Activist from Hrodna detained in Minsk

Minsk's Kastrychnitski district court will hear an administrative case against Hrodna-based activist Vadzim Tsiarletski.

He was detained on the evening of November 12 at Minsk's central railway station, Viasna human rights centre reports.

Vadzim came from Hrodna to Minsk in connection with the case of political prisoner Mikalai Autukhovich. He planned to return to Hrodna on the same day.

The police charged Tsiarletski with disorderly conduct (article 17.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences).

Tsiarletski spent the night before the trial in the detention facility in Akrestsin Street.
