Salaries for employees of government-financed organizations will be provided at expense of staff reductions

Finance Ministry promises the growth of the salaries of employees of government-financed organizations reached by the means of optimizing the number of government-financed organizations.

The information comes from Finance Ministry’s explanatory note to the draft budget for the next year, the text of which BelaPAN has.

“Salary expenses in the government-financed sector allow keeping its amounts in real terms. At the same time the growth in salaries will be ensured by the optimization of the structure and number of budget-financed organizations”, - the Finance Ministry notes.

Apart from that, the state and local authorities are granted the right to raise the tariff rate for salary calculations in government-financed organizations “within the funds provided by the estimate of expenditures, excluding the expenses for utility payments and capital expenditures”.

The average monthly salary at government-financed organizations accounted in January-September 2013 for 3 million 675.5 thousand roubles, and 3 million 950.3 thousand – in September alone. The net remuneration (considering the inflation) of government-paid employees in January-September 2013 increased by 7.5% as compared to the same period in 2012.

According to the estimations by the Ministry of Economy the average monthly salary in the government-financed sector will amount to 426.4 US dollars in 2013 and will grow up to 455 US dollars next year. The average monthly salary for industry workers will amount to 654.5 US dollars and will grow up to 705 dollars in 2014, by the Ministry of Economy’s estimations.
