Ivan Urgant mentions Charter'97 in the latest episode of his show.
Vecherniy Urgant show on Channel One Russia chose the Belarusian banking system as a subject for jokes:
“News from our neighbours. According to Charter'97 with a link to Narodnaya Hazeta, Belarusian official media call on Belarusians to keep money in banks and scare them with fungi that spoil dollars if they are not kept properly,” show host Ivan Urgant said and added: “The fungus is not the first warning. There were other threats, like keep dollars in Belarusian banks, or a bogeyman will come and take away everything. Keep dollars in Belarusian banks, because the dollars are bewitched to make you start barking. Now the information about the fungi appeared.”
Vecherniy Urgant show shot a special video if the fungal threats are not effective:
“In a dark, dark room in a dark, dark house in Mahilou there was a little girl who was counting her dollars when a red glove appeared from behind the curtain! Keep dollars in Belarusian banks.”
