ARCHE magazine denied registration for third time

The ministry of information refused again to register the ARCHE magazine.

The acting editor-in-chief of the magazine Ales Pashkevich reported that to charter97.org.

“We were denied allegedly because the telephone number of the publisher was indicated at one place, but must be indicated at two places according to the rules. This is just a technicality. But officials from the Ministry of Information find faults in every trivia in order to deny us a registration”, - the journalist noted.

He also emphasized that he was not going to appeal since it was pointless.

“We will not appeal against the resolution of denial so we do not have to read another reply beside the point. We will simply put the documents in order according the demands of the Ministry of Information and will apply for the registration of the magazine once again”, - Ales Pashkevich concluded.

We would remind that the magazine has started having problems in September 2012. The editor of the magazine Valer Bulhakau was accused of illegal entrepreneurship. In October over 5000 books were arrested at his house and the founder of ARCHE Andrej Dynko was called to the Department of Financial Investigations. After that Bulhakau was dismissed as the editor in order to save the magazine. However, The DFI froze the magazine’s accounts the same day.
