Occupational hazard has only decreased on paper at Granit

After the reduction of preferences the workers of Granit rejoin the independent trade union.
One of the leaders of the enterprise’s independent trade union Anatol Litsvinka told about that to Belsat TV channel:
“After the attestation held last year they have artificially reduced the preferences for occupational hazards. We used to have the hazard coefficient of 3.3 and now the dust content has allegedly decreased and the coefficient went down to 2.2. Now we will have the vacation for the harmful working conditions shortened from 14 to 7 days. The additional payment per hour will go down from 0.2% to 0.14%”.
Litsvinka says, that the workers are forced to agree on the new condition intimidating them with non-prolongation of the contracts. He says that he does not know about any measure which would have brought about the decrease of the operational hazard at Granit:
“It happens that because of the dust we cannot see a worker in a workshop who is five meters away! And they declare that we have the duct content decreased… The plant is 30 years old and no measures to tackles the issue were taken…”
The trade union activist supposes that the only way to protect your rights is for the workers to unite in an independent trade union:
“This all has caused indignation with all the workers and something is growing now that was at Granit when the independent trade unions primary organization was formed. Now five guys approached me, who asked to accept them into the independent trade union. Our ranks will add up on this wave caused by the enterprise’s administration itself. And there is no alternative to the independent trade union at Granit”.
