Belarusian oligarchs managed to take money away from Cyprus

Aliaksandr Lukashenka claimed that during his today’s address to the parliament.

Oligarchs, close to Lukashenka family, sanctioned by the EU, managed to take their money away from Cyprus and other offshore zones, Aliaksandr Lukashenka stated.

“Europeans put pressure on two-three dozen major businessmen once and almost threatened: we would not let you in Europe, deprive you of your money, freeze the accounts. They had to withdraw money from this Cyprus and other Virgin Islands”, - Lukashenka said.

“They are now praying to me: thanks to the president that we were not let in Europe because of him”. “They withdrew the money in due time and lost nothing. So there are no losses for Belarusian businessmen, swindlers and crooks”, - Lukashenka noted.
