Oppositionists summoned to police station before Charnobylski Shlah

The chairman of the Vicebsk region BPF office Leanid Autukhou is summoned to a police station on the eve of Charnobylski Shlah.

Leanid Autukhou assumes that he might be detained soon. On the eve of Charnobylski Shlah the oppositionist has been called to October police department. Autukhou does not rule out that the conversation at the police station will end with a trial and another short prison term, Radio Racyja reports.

“They would easily find a reason – fault language or something else. Although, fault language is not applicable to me. When they detained me on 25 March, they found bulletins with me. A protocol may be composed based in that. But there can be no arrest according to this article, there is only a fine for that”, - Autukhou said.

On 26 April a meeting is planned in Vicebsk due to the anniversary of the Charnobyl nuclear plant accident. The organizers aim to raise such issues as the termination of the construction of a nuclear power plant in Astravec, the reinstitution of benefits for all the categories of citizens, who have suffered from the accident, and the termination of agricultural activities at the polluted territories. The administration of the Railway district did not give permission for holding the meeting.

We would remind that the action in Minsk will take place on 26 April at 18.30 near the October cinema. The manifestation is authorized.
