Lufthansa flights from Minsk cancelled on 22 April

Minsk-Frankfurt flights operated by German airline Lufthansa will be canceled on 22 April due to a strike held by the company’s staff.

Passengers are offered refunds or alternative bookings.

Frankfurt-Minsk flights are cancelled as well.

The German air carriers have cancelled nearly 2,000 flights from Hamburg, Munich, Berlin and other cities. The strike is held over the refusal of the authorities to agree on a 5% increase in salaries.

Last September protests led to many-million losses and rising costs for tickets. Last time Lufthansa cancelled flights from Minsk was on 21 March 2013.
