European Belarus activists detained in Minsk

The activists of the European Belarus civic campaign Dzmitry Charniak and Aliaksandr Tarnagurski have been detained on 26th of April in Minsk.

We would remind that before the manifestation ecological activists Iryna Sukhij, Vasil Siniukhin, Kanstantsin Kirylenka, Volha Kaskievich, Mikalaj Ulasievich were detained. Ecologists Tatsiana Novikava and Aleh Novikau were blocked inside their apartments. An activist Ihar Trukhanovich was severely beaten by people in mufti, now he has been taken to Soviet district’s police department. Also journalists of Nasha Niva Iryna Arakhouskaja and Aksana Rudovich, who were filming the beating of Trukhanovich, were detained. According to human rights activists, there are several more activists of the anarshists movement at police stations and also a human rights activist-observer Viachaslau Dashkevich.
