Deputy Minister of Sport and Tourism detained by KGB

Belarus secret service KGB has arrested Deputy Minister of Sport and Tourism Syarhei Nerad
He was detained “in the context of the corruption prevention campaign and protection of the economic interests of the state by KGB,” state-owned news agency BelTA reports. A criminal case has been started against Syarhei Nerad under Article 430 (3) in the Penal Code of Belarus that deals with bribery of officials.
Information about the detention Syarhei Luzhin, deputy director general of state-owned energy giant Belenergo appeared in the morning after top officials in Barysau and Zhytkavichy had been detained by the police earlier.
