Investigation Committee to work on Ecomedservice case

Investigation Committee's higher authority is now probing the death of a patient after plastic surgery at Ecomedservice center in Minsk

The inquiry has been taken over by the Main Department from the Minsk City Affiliate of Belarus' Investigation Commitee.

Hrodna resident Yuliya Kubareva died after rhinoplasty in the Minsk-based Ecomedservice medical centre. The woman spent four weeks in a coma.

Three people - the anesthetist, the nurse who assisted him and the director general of Ecomedservice - still remain in police custody, while investigation is in progress.

The director general is reportedly facing negligence charges.
