Russian combat planes violated Finnish airspace

Finland's Ministry of Defence suspects two Russian military aircraft of having violated Finland’s airspace.

The incident with the Russian aircraft, ITAR-TASS informs with a reference to Finland's Ministry of Defense, happened on Tuesday night, June 11, in the area of the Gulf of Finland. The fighter jets of the Finnish Air Force were dispatched in order to identify the invaders.

No more details have been informed. Finland's Ministry of Defense says that the customs services were ordered to conduct an investigation and report its results.

This is the second such incident in a month.
