Mirnyi and Tecau won the tournament in the Netherlands

Belarusian-Romanian duet won in the pair category tournament in Holland 's-Hertogenbosch.

Second-seeded Belarusian- Romanian tandem Max Mirnyi and Horia Tecau won the Topshelf Open 2013 in Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, beating German duet Andre Begemann and Martin Emmrich 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) on 23 June, BelTA has learnt.

On their way to the title the Belarusian-Romanian pair successively knocked out Rajeev Ram of the United States and Czech Lukas Dlouhy 6-3, 6-4, Israel-Italia pair Jonathan Erlich and Daniele Bracciali 6-4, 6-3, and Dutch tandem Thiemo de Bakker and Jesse Huta Galung in two sets 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-3).

In the women’s events Olga Govorstova of Belarus (World No. 72) lost to Poland’s Urszula Radwanska (38) 2-6, 0-6 in the opener. In the doubles fourth-seeded Olga Govortsova and Russia’s Nina Bratchikova fell to Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia and Arantxa Parra-Santonja of Spain 4-6, 3-6 in round one. Belarusian Polina Pekhova, teamed up with Russia’s Marina Melnikova, lost to Dutch players Demi Schuurs and Angelique van der Meet 3-6, 3-6.

The grass court competitions in the Netherlands completed on 22 June.
